I'm going to report my mom for welfare fraud…how? [Pennsylvania]?
Ok, enough is enough. To make a long story extremely short, my mom has been milking the system for as long as I can remember for welfare. Food stamps, medical, etc etc She HAS been cleared as being medically "disabled" & collects SSD for a broken back… but she has worked under the table at times, had people pay her for laying tile (obviously her backs not hurting her that bad), and claiming that none of her kids work.
Her current situation: Living with her is
My 20 yr old sister & her 1 month old baby (who is collecting welfare also, but claimed she ‘didnt have a home yet’)

I moved out when I was 16 years old (I’m now 22), and I have a feeling she claimed I was still living with her the whole time to get more money.
My one brother is in jail, and I bet she still claims him too.
and the BIGGEST thing is that she has an elderly couple living with her (so she can milk them for their money, they have NO living family/friends) they pay half her bills, completely re-did her bathroom, and they are planning to put an extension on my moms house for them to live in (they are currently living in my moms dining room) YET my mom is claiming they dont live there so THEY can collect their SS and SHE can continue to milk them and the system.
I am SICK of her laziness and the horrible household my younger brother is in (hence why I moved out when I was 16). How can I report this ANONYMOUSLY (I cant give away that I’m the informer, would they use the phone call recording I make in court if it goes that far?) because I need to stay on my familys ‘good side’ in case she goes to jail so I can get custody of my younger brother so he can start to have a normal life.
Also, my family gives her money every month… I dont know how much but I know they would deny giving her money if she was caught.
PLEASE any and all input about this, thanks.
I also wanted to mention that she manipulates her kids as well. ALL of my siblings pay a MINIMUM of $300/month to her for rent, PLUS insurance for the car, PLUS money for the cell phone bill.
She had my sister believe that her cell phone portion was $150 month. That was the WHOLE bill, not just ‘her portion’.
I am so sick of this woman using her kids to get ahead in life

You can call your state’s Attorney General’s office and report her. But, if none of these people will talk, it might not go anywhere. The old couple is entitled to collect their SS no matter where they live (assuming they’re of age). But, the income she is deriving from them, and from everyone else, definitely counts. Will they tell? If they won’t, there’s nothing the law can do (unless there’s a paper trail).
If I were you, I’d report her and let them try. People like your mother are costing taxpayers a lot of money. And, until people are willing to report, this stuff is going to continue.

i’m gonna suggest to talk to her about what she is doing-you don’t have to, but it is a good idea. but if she doesn’t listen and doesn’t stop doing what she is doing then if you report her then she might guess it was you.
otherwise, go to the police. DIRECTLY.
you can ask them to keep it anonymous and they will agree. you can also ask them to help you get custody of your brothers etc. they can help you. and your mum will never know.

well… when she dies! you, and your brothers will inherit the house. that is her plan to leave you ungrateful kids something in order for you not to talk behind her back saying; that lazy good for nothing did not leave us anything! so go ahead and make things worse. the fight is with you cause you are hateful. don’t hate the player hate the game.

wow i think you guys should sit her down and confront her..tell her what she doing is wrong and if she don’t agree to change then tell her you will report her to the welfare office…

You will need a few things when you report her.
You will need a few month’s worth of receipts. Make sure you and somebody living with her starts collecting each and every receipt, to show she is spending more than she is receiving.
Next, you need to have at least a year’s worth of mail addressed to you at your current address, to show you were not living with her during the time period she claimed you were.
Then, you need to take pictures of her working laying tile. Get a video camera that records the date as you take video and get it on tape her working despite her claimed inability to do so.
When you have physical proof against her, make your case. Without proof, it’s your word against hers and she has been at this longer, so they will believe her word first. With actual proof, including your brother’s jail record, your proof of not living with her, and videos of her working, you have a case.
